Vision fuel float, fuel gauge reads inaccurately
Is your Vision fuel level gauge no longer working properly? The most common reason is the sender float is saturated and no longer floating at the top.
A good float is on the left at 16g.
The saturated float that wouldn’t read over a half tank weighs in nearly double, at 28g, is n the right. Unfortunately Victory doesn’t sell just the float – they make you buy the whole pump assembly…
I’ve seen this once or twice on the Cross bikes too.Some folks have rigged up an aftermarket float in lieu of buying the whole pump assembly.

Do you ever replace just the float or what are the determining factors when a complete fuel pump /filters are required. Is this a decision based on while your there just do it all because the labor is the same either way?

Victory didn’t make the float separate. You have to buy the whole $500 assembly.
Some folks have replaced just the float with an aftermarket version. I’ve not personally done this, but if a person was to find a suitable replacement that could totally work.
