Video: 2005-2007 100″ Performance options.
Posted by Rylan on December 26, 2022 at 8:28 amThis applies to the 2002-2005 as well, but the 92’s have better cams and programming and therefore the recipe is different. This video is more for the 2005-2007 100 inch models.

Since the 2002-2005 bikes have excellent programming and cams there is not many bolt-ons that are effective. A nice intake and exhaust is all that is needed. Sometimes the stock programming works adequately and you don’t even need the Power Commander. The PC is nice to dial it all in if the intake and/or exhaust are particularly radical or you want the peace of mind that the bike is running to the best of its ability.
The next step is a 100″ kit engine build. Then the engine has the cubes and compression to support an aftermarket cam. These projects cost more than the street value of the bike and therefore (unfortunately) no one hires me to do these anymore.

Did you use the 438 or 413 cam? I heard both mentioned in the video.

On the topic of exhaust, for the TC , are all the slip ons that have a hole about 3″ dia the Victory “Stage 1”? I occasionally see them on eBay. From what I am reading, I could probably get away without the ECM reflash on a 05 TC with opening up the airbox and a slip ons. My usual elevation for riding is 2500’+. I would imagine anything that can fit inside the chrome heat shielding and is a free flowing muffler would work? I have a wire welder..:-)

Yes, you could either buy Victory pipes you’re seeing online.
But most just modify the muffler to suit them as you mentioned.

Will 100″ jugs and pistons from a 100/5 or 100/6 work as a poor man’s 100″ upgrade to a v92? Or would there be too much mismatch from v92 heads?

No, the cam chain guides are different.
A poor mans 100″ would involve boring out the stock cylinders to 101mm.
