Video: 2005-2007 100″ Performance options.
Posted by Rylan on December 26, 2022 at 8:28 amThis applies to the 2002-2005 as well, but the 92’s have better cams and programming and therefore the recipe is different. This video is more for the 2005-2007 100 inch models.

Since the 2002-2005 bikes have excellent programming and cams there is not many bolt-ons that are effective. A nice intake and exhaust is all that is needed. Sometimes the stock programming works adequately and you don’t even need the Power Commander. The PC is nice to dial it all in if the intake and/or exhaust are particularly radical or you want the peace of mind that the bike is running to the best of its ability.
The next step is a 100″ kit engine build. Then the engine has the cubes and compression to support an aftermarket cam. These projects cost more than the street value of the bike and therefore (unfortunately) no one hires me to do these anymore.

Did you use the 438 or 413 cam? I heard both mentioned in the video.

On the topic of exhaust, for the TC , are all the slip ons that have a hole about 3″ dia the Victory “Stage 1”? I occasionally see them on eBay. From what I am reading, I could probably get away without the ECM reflash on a 05 TC with opening up the airbox and a slip ons. My usual elevation for riding is 2500’+. I would imagine anything that can fit inside the chrome heat shielding and is a free flowing muffler would work? I have a wire welder..:-)

Yes, you could either buy Victory pipes you’re seeing online.
But most just modify the muffler to suit them as you mentioned.

Will 100″ jugs and pistons from a 100/5 or 100/6 work as a poor man’s 100″ upgrade to a v92? Or would there be too much mismatch from v92 heads?
-
No, the cam chain guides are different.
A poor mans 100″ would involve boring out the stock cylinders to 101mm.

I’ve been trying to follow this power plan as closely as I could on a slim budget. 2006 Kingpin 100″. I can do basic machining, sheet metal, welding including SS… humbly.
- Torque Tubes: CHECK. Tracked down a pair of Lloyds or I can fabricate something close.
- Cams: CHECK. Found v92TC cams. Seems like the best possible choice for the money per something you said somewhere.
- Timing: Noemtz said ‘No, the software is too old.’ Waiting to hear back from Lloyds. I have no idea how much this would cost.
- Exhaust: The good options are out of budget so I’m looking into Frankenstein options.
Questions:
- If I borrow the correct PC5, have a map created on a dyno, could Lloyds then load that map directly on my ECU? Then I would give my buddy back his PC5 and save $450.
- What is so constricting on the Victory Stage 1 drag pipes? The collector? Baffle diameter? Is there a modification worth doing since I’m going to shell out for a dyno tune?
- Is there a cross-fitment opportunity to use like (making this up) headers from a 106″, a 2 into 1 collector from a judge, and fat glasspack or slip-on pulled from a Triumph Rocket, then Frankenweld?
I know you are a purist and I know what you would recommend because you made this great video laying it all out. But I enjoy the creative solutioning and hacking… I just want it to add up to a feeling… between my legs when I twist the throttle. Any wild ideas, tips, rumors, or legends of success would be much appreciated.
