V92C – starting after sitting 20 years
Hi all,
Trying to get a grasp on what to do with this bike. My Father in Law’s V92C has been sitting for about 20 years; it has 98 miles. We changed the oil, new battery, fresh gas and it started up with some choke. After warming up it backfires extremely loud and is shooting flames out of the pipes. smells rich so I’m guessing air/fuel within the carb.
So – I believe next would be inspecting the air filter and intake boots for deterioration, or just replacing, perhaps replacing the fuel filters.
Any suggestions on shops in the Cincinnati area?
