Question for the collective wisdom here. Will a Maximus tuner work on my ’08? The only mods to he bike are a full exhaust and a K&N air filter. I’ve read elsewhere that I need to swap out the ECM with a later year ECM in order to flash it. I’ve also seen posts that other parts need to be changed out prior to the flash. ECM photo attached. I’m only interested in a reflash, not a piggyback setup like a power commander.

You’ll need to determine what MAP sensor you have in order to determine if you can tune with a Maximus. What is the part number on the MAP sensor?

’08 VVT Comfort. My TMAP part number is 0261230042 – it is a Bosch part manufacture date of 07-10-16 1C A4 816.

Wondering if I can run Maximus or if I need to go PC6?

You’re going to need a Power Commander.

Thx Rylan. It has the -99 sensor. It doesn’t matter though because Maximus is no longer available in the US for sale to owners. Other than finding a PC5 (no longer manufactured) I’m not aware of any tuner that will work.

The people who sell Maximus for a living have stocked up for the next couple of years. If you pay a Maximus professional to provide the Max and custom tune then you’ll be able to run a Maximus.
