Crank case venting options…
Has anyone vented the crank case to atmosphere? Thoughts?

You can do that. But then the crank vent will start spitting oil vapor and making a big mess. I did that with my own personal bike many years ago when I was starting out. That lasted about one season, then I got tired of cleaning up the oil mess and routed the line back to the airbox.
