Air chuck
Posted by Smitty on August 10, 2022 at 8:33 pmOK I’m going to throw this out there—-it’s sort of like “what oil should I use,” but different. Here goes.
What do you use for a convenient, easy-to-use air chuck for (especially) the rear wheel on a Vision? I had plenty of trouble getting correct pressure readings and filling the tire on my XC bikes, but the Vision is a whole other level of pain in the ass. Photos would be most helpful. Thanks everyone.
(I do not need advice on oil…that was a facetious comment.)

Do you mean airing it up or checking the pressure? I snagged one of these from work and it’s fine. You do have to get the valve right about 7 o’clock and put the hose through the pulley while laying on the ground, then you can get a good positive grip on it to push down. But just doing a search I see they make other types of angled chucks.

Yeah, that’s more or less my whole routine. I was just wondering if I missed the boat on some much easier way.
Thanks

At you next tire change put in angled valve stems.

I got the T-valve from FOBO. I put the monitor on the top one and the 90 degree valve makes it easiy to check and air up. These are metal, good solid feel, not plastic crap. FOBO (my-fobo.com)

I use the sykik tpms system and I was planning on using these on next tire change also.

That looks like a solid idea as well. I like the black 90 degree above. Thanks for sharing.

I also have the FOBO T Valve Stems on my CCT and they work perfectly. As do the FOBO Bike 2 sensors. It’s the best $124 in parts you can spend on your bike.
