13 xc throttle body removal
Posted by Rendel on October 9, 2023 at 11:44 amIs there a video of a throttle body being removed for pro members?
Thanks for any info you can provide.

No, there is not. The reason is that I can’t think of a good reason to remove it. There is no routine maintenance that requires it and there is no known problems with the throttle bodies. So there is no reason to make a video that covers it.
Make me wonder why you’d want to R&R it…

I assumed that it was like my 07 kingpin, my xc is fluctuating in rpm so I checked the upper portion of the throttle body and it was filthy so I cleaned it as best I could and it made a difference but unlike the kp, I can’t easily clean it.
That’s why I was wondering if it was possible to remove it.
I just bought it so I don’t have any knowledge about these bikes.

Throttle body cleaning is not required on the 2008 thru 2017 bikes.
If your idle is fluctuating I would look at the battery first. “But the bike starts” and “the local parts store tested it” are not indications IMHO. It can pass both of those tests and still not have enough amps to properly run the fuel injection.
