Ok hot a few things going on here,

The 08-17 oiling system is different than the 02-07.

08-17 oil external lines run from block to cooler and back to block.

02-07 Oil external lines run from block to cooler to heads.

That would indicate that the oil passages in the heads are different. (I do not know for sure). On 08-17 the oil will enter the head and return from the head through the cylinder.

On 02-08 oil enters the head from from the cylinder and exit/returns through external lines to oil cooler.

Does that mean you may have oil flow issues if you put -02-07 heads on a 08-17 engine. I would think that it would certainly a great concern
