    The number one reason for a clutch to slip prematurely is by using the wrong engine oil.

    The number two reason is some sort of issue with the cable (or master cylinder) or lever, or adjustment.

    The number three most common reason for a clutch to fail is abuse.

    I never, never, never, never, use Barnett clutch kits. They are machined wrong and result in an incorrect stack height, which leads to failure.

    Also know that the clutch size is very small in comparison to the bike. The Victory clutches have a TON of work to do. For example Indian uses a clutch that is double the size, for a bike that is smaller. So any little flaw in the Victory clutch will turn into “the straw that broke the camels back”.
