The slop is normal. No action need be taken.
If your bike has a ton of miles (over 70K) then maybe the stock parts are worn out. Replace and repair as needed WITH OEM PARTS!!!
******* The aftermarket brass bushings are not machined correctly and will often be too tight and cause shifting issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
