Wheel and Belt alignment, Boardwalk
Hello,
I have a 2013 Victory Boardwalk with about 14000 Km (about 8400 miles). I picked it up about a year ago…runs great, comfortable, really like it however, I cannot seem to rid it of belt squeal. The squeal is pretty consistent a bit upon acceleration but mostly now when I let up on the throttle.
I have a pretty good idea as to the alignment procedures however I believe the belt to be too loose. I do not have the proper tool to measure the 10# tension but there is significant play in the belt.
I am having some problems getting the rear wheel and axel to move back far enough to tighten the belt a little and align wheel properly. Is there a trick, process, technique or tool you use to get the rear axel to slide back? I have been wrestling with it and can’t seem to get it back far enough and also get it into proper alignment. I am half afraid that I will pull it right off the lift.
You were referred to me from a Victory Boardwalk on-line group. In any case would appreciate help you might be able to offer to rectify this problem.
Thanks,
C
