  • Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Replacement

Posted by Brett on December 21, 2025 at 9:41 am

Since I purchased my 2008 Vision last summer, the fuel gauge would never read past a 1/4. I pulled the fuel pump last night and found the float had fuel in it. I had a replacement float which I installed. Then trying to install the fuel pump back in the tank, I cracked the fuel sending unit circuit board. Are the sending units still available anywhere? Is the sending unit the same as another Polaris model possibly?

There are complete fuel modules on eBay from $72-$156, no where did I see the circuit board sold separately. Even on the Vic parts web site it doesn’t break down the module.

Great info Rylan! I discovered a simpler way to get the fuel pump in an out of the tank by removing the (4) screws and (4) push pin fasteners to be able to slide cowl cover up. This allows you to remove and install the fuel pump without going thru the speaker hole. Almost a straight shot and way easier!!!!!
