  • Err Fuel Correction running Rich or Lean

Err 1 17 520204. Fuel Correction- System too lean Cyl 1 (Front). (Constant)

Err 2 15 520204. Fuel Correction – system too rich Cyl 1 (Front). (Seen once or twice while riding and never again)

Anyone else had these codes before mainly the first one as I rarely seen the second one it just went on and off. Battery good new IAC sensor, fuel pump, O2 sensor, cleaned air filter, oem fuel pump and filter, and injectors are being cleaned. I will install and try tomorrow. I also checked lines for cracks or leaks. Sputters when riding and idles rough it will idle normal and then bog out eventually and shut off. Light turned on towards the end of a 600 mile trip and has remained since.

2016 XC 42k miles pretty well maintained, mostly stock aside from exhaust and lloydz air filter.

Just looking to get pointed in the right direction or maybe I’m over looking something.

Also replaced the TMAP sensor and now I have the same as the first code and also a IAC (Idle Air Control) out of range.

Whenever I see multiple codes like that it generally means some sort of charging system or battery issue.

But the bogging out and dying sounds like a fuel pressure issue – which also matches with your “Fuel System Lean” condition.

Have the fuel pressure gauge attached to the bike while you are riding down the road and experiencing the symptoms.

What would be the fix for the fuel pressure issue? Also where can I get the proper tools for this job I was looking on the site to find where to rent the tools from The Vic Shop.

Oh and the battery reads 12 volts. When I hit the switch to start it the bike stays at a steady 14 volts.

A charging issue may be something like: Everything is normal until 4500 rpms and then the voltage jumps to 18 volts and the bike starts to cut out.

So, the resting voltage and idle voltage aren’t telling you anything in this case.

But I think you’re better off checking fuel pressure first.
