Build Season 2022
Just a few pictures of Build Season 2022. A “Build” is any big engine or transmission job that requires the engine assembly to be removed from the frame. I usually build these up during the riding year, and then take them on when the weather gets cold in the Fall.
Today I’m working on a Jackpot engine and transmission.

The was a 2013 Cross Country that I built a couple of weeks back. It was a 115K engine rebuild, but we decided to go through the transmission as well and make sure everything was 100%.

How did the motor and tranny look with 115K on the clock? Was she pretty worn out?

It was well maintained and it looked great inside!

Rylan rebuilt my 13 XCT at 117k, I had one of the bad cast motors, the pistons where burnt, rings completely shot. Someone tried to file the heads to get a better seal, it didn’t help at all, I believe these 106 motors can go 200k if well maintained…
