Pulled fuel pump from a running ’08 Kingpin because the previous owner murdered the tank installing the wrong gas cap. I gave it a thorough cleaning and checked everything. All looked good so it was reinstalled into a much better tank. Bike wouldn’t start so I checked pressure. Pressure wasn’t moving the needle so i pulled the pump and installed a new Quantum pump that was given to me. Still had the same result. Both pumps work when power is applied. I also checked my pressure gauge on my Vegas to make sure it wasn’t the tool. It was not. I know the Quantum fuel pump rebuilds have a bad reputation but I’m just trying to work with what I have and knowing the bike ran before I pulled it has me a little confused.

How do you know if the regulator is bad?

Your exact scenario is why I offer my fuel pump rebuilding services.

You can continue to mess with it yourself of course, but I’ll be here to fix it when you decide “I’m tired of dealing with this and I’m ready to have Rylan rebuild it with the correct parts, test it, and put a warranty on it.”
