    2012 CrossRoads LE Chirping clutch?

    RPM’s 1500-2500 lower gears there is a chirping sound. If I lightly squeeze the clutch lever it goes away. Fairly loud when cold. still happens when warm. I have adjusted the pinion shaft for “proper play” . Any suggestions on how stop the chirp?

    That happened to me, it was the belt being loose. Floor jack and a couple of wrenches fixed it.

    I’m confident enough to reply because the noise was exactly a chirp, like a loud bird.

    Now, if you dump the clutch slowing down, that’s more of a honk.
