2011 CCT Engine quit
I just bought this 2011 Cross Country Tour, with 33000KM on it . On my second ride, I was slowing down to get into the left turning lane, I clutched to down shift into 3th, and the engine quit, the engine light was on after the engine quit, which is normal, then I turned the key off. Got off and looked around the bike, didn’t see anything wrong. Got back on and it started right up, but was idling to high, so gave it a little throttle and idled back to normal. Rode home normal. Another thing is most of the time 1st gear indicator doesn’t shows 1st gear, all others ok.

You need a new battery. Get a good quality, lead-acid battery from a reputable company. Stay away from cheap Walmart style batteries, and stay away from super high priced rare-earth metal batteries like lithium.

I changed the battery and still having this problem.
