As the top line says, ’08 kp 8ball with a lloydz built 106, 6speed.

I started having intermittent issues with my Kinpin after changing the battery. While trying to trouble shoot it, My ACM literally fried itself. Blew two fuses, the Engine and Secondary lights. Now it no longer runs.

While chasing wire it was found that the main line from the battery to the terminal had broken at the terminal and had arced to the frame Also found that the rear aftermarket led tail lights also have burn marks. Not sure if that is related, or even these are still good or not.

So my questions are as follows.
    1) anyone have an ACM for an ’08 (will a pre 08 work?) is there a post ’08 acm that will work?

    2) do i need to worry about the ECM too? can it be tested?

    3) can the ACM be completely bypassed, or do i have to install something like badlands acm?

    4) been thinking about buying a wrecked post ’09 bike and swapping out parts… are the steel frame parts interchangeable from year to year. My thought was to change out the wire harnesses and ecm ect to rebuild this bike.

    thanks for your help!!

The ACM hasn’t been avaliable for many years now. You’ll have to find an alternative, like the Badlands unit.

Be sure to send Polaris a message reminding them that Victory riders still exist, and we still need parts.

Then repair it an alternative way. Like the Badlands unit or the 09+ harness.
